John Koenig 
Attorney John F. Koenig joined Kohls & Associates in May 2007. He brings twelve years of estate planning and elder law experience. Having been raised in North Central Indiana, John retains the small town friendliness and honesty he learned from his upbringing. He prides himself in combining the personal care his clients desire with the professional service they deserve.
John received his bachelor's degree from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC, in 1986, and his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, MI, in 1990. Prior to joining Kohls & Associates, John worked in various law firms throughout Wisconsin and also established and ran his own law office for several years prior to merging with another firm. He has been secretary, treasurer and vice president of his local bar association; director of vocational services for his Rotary chapter; and has been on various boards of charitable and other organizations.
John is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Wealth Counsel, and is a founding member of the Wealth Counsel Advisor's Forum. He is admitted to practice before all the courts in Wisconsin, as well as the U.S. District Courts in both the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin.
